Effective July 1, 2019 the Notary Public State Exam will consist of 45 multiple-choice questions and candidates are permitted 60 minutes to complete the exam.

1. Allan Selden The post-July 1, 2019 notary exam for Calif is more detail-rich and procedure-oriented than the previous shorter version(s). The exam is not necessarily much harder, just more “challenging” and demanding more focus from the test-taker. The 60 minutes allotted for the exam go by fast.
