What happens if the signer puts his/her thumbprint in the wrong place in my journal?
Remember, that notaries are keepers of the books. As a notary, I would have the signer thumbprint in the proper space, then, I would cross out the misplaced print and the whole line and write “VOID” on it. In addition, I would write a short explanation in the additional information box, even though this is not a requirement.
